A message from Erica Bowles, Dublin Service League President 2026-2027
The heart of the Dublin Service League has remained true since 1947: we come together to serve others. For generations, our members have given their time, talents, and resources to make a difference in the lives of those in our community. Through friendship, fellowship, and a shared commitment to service, the Dublin Service League continues to build on a remarkable legacy of generosity and community involvement.
One of our most meaningful traditions is the annual Fair & Marketplace, which helps fund scholarships for local high school seniors. Last year, we proudly awarded $30,000 in scholarships to 20 students, continuing a tradition that has now spanned 61 years. In total, the Dublin Service League has awarded more than $680,000 in scholarships, investing in the education and future of young people in our community. This year's Fair & Marketplace, themed “Star-Spangled Christmas,” brings together two celebrations we hold dear—the birthday of our great country and the special traditions of Christmas. The featured cake will be a beautiful Almond Cream Cake, and a returning favorite, our White Chocolate Cranberry Cheesecake, will once again be available after being a great success last year.
As we begin another year, we are grateful for the opportunity to carry this legacy forward while creating new memories and making a lasting impact. Throughout the year, our members participate in a variety of volunteer opportunities and community activities that allow us to continue our mission of serving others. We invite you to learn more about the Dublin Service League, our history, our members, and the many ways we serve our community. It is our privilege to continue a tradition of service that began almost 80 years ago, and we look forward to the years of service, friendship, and community impact still ahead.
